Tucson
Desert Town, Tight Community, One Night to Meet Everyone
Tucson's South Asian community is anchored by the University of Arizona's graduate programs, forming a tight knit desi presence in the desert
Waitlist signups determine where we announce next.
The University of Arizona pulls in a steady stream of South Asian graduate students, and the Tucson desi community, while small, is genuinely tight. The Indian grad students know each other, the families know each other, and the professionals in the area form a community that's close enough to feel like home. The problem, as always, is that tight knit communities make dating feel like a fishbowl.
The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the audience watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole room mingles. In Tucson, where the desert energy is different and the pace is slower, this format takes on a flavor unique to the city. Every market gets its own version of the show.
Tucson has its own personality. It's not Phoenix. The desert energy is different, the pace is slower, and the town has a creative, laid back vibe that's genuinely appealing. A desi dating show here would have a different flavor than what we do in New York, and that's exactly the point. Every city gets its own version of the show.
