Dating Shows You Can Actually Attend in 2026

Somewhere between season four of your favorite dating show and your hundredth app download, a thought arrives: I want to see this happen in real life. You can. Not the villa, that one is a closed set guarded like a military installation. But real singles going on real dates in front of a live audience happens every week in America, tickets cost less than brunch and I run one of the shows, so consider this the insider map.

The three ways to be in the room

Option one, be an audience member at a live dating show. This is the accessible one and what most of this guide covers. Option two, get cast as a dater, which at the live shows is far easier than television. Option three, TV audience tapings, which barely exist for dating formats anymore since the genre moved to closed sets and streaming. And before you file the live show under consolation prize, consider what it has over the televised version: no edit, real stakes and a crowd that shapes the date in real time.

New York: the weekly habit

NYC is the only city where live dating is a weekly institution. Garam Masala Dating runs every week in Manhattan: two real singles on a blind date on stage, comedian hosts, 250 person crowd, audience vote and a singles mixer after where the room gets to shoot its own shots. UpDating runs blindfolded dates for a pure spectator experience. Tinder Live turns app swiping into a comedy show. You could see a different live dating format three weekends in a row without leaving the city.

Beyond New York: where the format is spreading

Live dating shows are following the audiences. Our own tour map currently includes Jersey City, Boston, Philadelphia, Edison, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with new cities announced based on where demand is loudest. If your city is not on that list, the city waitlist is literally how we decide where to go next. Waitlist signups are votes.

What a ticket gets you

At our show, a ticket gets you roughly 90 minutes of live comedy and dating followed by a singles mixer in the same venue, all included. Doors open 30 minutes early. Seats are first come, so early arrivals get the good sightlines, which matter when someone's face falls at the phrase 'my ex actually'. Most tickets start around $15. Couples and friend groups make up a big chunk of every audience, so nobody assumes anything about your relationship status when you walk in.

How to end up on stage instead

Two paths. The application: fill out the casting form, include real photos and a personality, and we reach out when there is a fit. We get thousands of applications, so the second path matters: come to a show and volunteer. Every show pulls daters from the audience, and audience volunteers have produced some of the best dates in our history. Buying a ticket is the audition. Watching from the couch is the demo version

Dating shows on TV are great until you realize you are watching other people have a night out. The live version hands you the same drama plus a room full of actual humans, some of whom are single, some of whom are about to be very interesting to you. Pick a date and come through. The couch will still be there.
