Copenhagen’s Indian community is growing through the pharma and tech sectors. Novo Nordisk, Maersk, and the Danish startup scene have brought in South Asian professionals, and the University of Copenhagen, DTU, and CBS attract Indian students. The community is small but concentrated in Nørrebro, Amager, and the suburbs along the S-train lines.

The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the room watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. In Copenhagen, this format is designed to concentrate the scattered desi community into one room for one night, creating connections that the apps and expat mixers never deliver.

Danish social culture is built around small, established friend groups. Breaking into those circles as an outsider is notoriously difficult, and for South Asian immigrants and expats, it can feel like the door is politely but firmly closed. A show that creates instant community among people who share a cultural background is exactly what’s needed.

Copenhagen’s comedy scene is growing, with English language shows becoming more common. The city’s reputation for design and innovation extends to its entertainment. A new format gets a warm reception here.

Waitlist is open. Copenhagen pairs naturally with Stockholm for a Scandinavian tour. or apply to be a contestant.

Hygge has no onboarding process

Copenhagen's desi community grew through Novo Nordisk's pharma empire, Maersk's logistics floors and DTU's engineering programs, arriving into a culture whose famous cosiness is a closed circle of childhood friends. The transplants cycle between excellent workplaces and quiet apartments, and Danish dating culture, direct but strictly app-mediated, gives them thin pools and no occasions.

One show onboards Copenhagen's desi singles into each other's circles at scale, with the bridge crowd from Malmö doubling the pool.

What a Garam Masala night in Copenhagen looks like

A Novo scientist and a DTU postdoc who have never met, on stage, going on a first date while Scandinavia's best-dressed desi crowd reacts with rising un-Danish volume. Comedian hosts, live votes and a Vesterbro mixer cosy enough to qualify as hygge with strangers, a category Denmark did not know it had.
