Panama City has a small but growing Indian community, largely driven by the banking sector, the Canal Zone economy, and the free trade zones in Colon. Hindustanis from the Caribbean (Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname) have also settled in Panama, creating an interesting blend of Caribbean and mainland South Asian identity. The Casco Viejo and Punta Pacifica areas are where Indian professionals tend to cluster.
The format from New York: real dates happen on stage, the audience votes, and a mixer follows. Panama City connects North and South America, and its small but growing Indian community, drawn by banking, Canal operations, and Caribbean ties, has never had a singles event built for them. This show makes the first one count.
The South Asian community here is small enough that a show would feel like a genuine event, something people plan around rather than casually attend. In cities this size, the first show becomes legendary because nobody expected it. That's the energy we're going for.
Panama's economy attracts professionals from across the globe, and the Indian contingent is part of that. Finance, logistics, and the Canal operations employ South Asian workers who are often here without their usual social networks. A show that creates instant community is valuable in a way that bigger cities don't always appreciate.

Panama's desi hub has towers, trade and no third place
Panama City's Indian community grew through the canal economy: Sindhi and Gujarati trading families in the free zone, a newer banking and logistics professional class in the tower district and a social life conducted entirely through business networks and family circuits. The singles get Central America's best skyline and no room of their own beneath it.
As the region's hub city, a Panama show quietly serves desi professionals from San José to Bogotá who route through anyway. Small local market, wide regional catchment.
