Jodhpur is the Blue City, and it’s more than just a tourist destination. IIT Jodhpur and AIIMS Jodhpur have brought in a young academic and medical population that didn’t exist a decade ago. The old city around Mehrangarh Fort is stunning, the Clock Tower market is chaotic in the best way, and the newer areas are developing a social scene that’s small but genuine.
The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the room watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. Jodhpur has the audience, the comedy infrastructure, and the appetite for live entertainment. This is the show that fills the gap between the apps and the aunty network.
The dating scene in Jodhpur is limited by the city’s size and Rajasthani social conservatism. Young people from IIT and AIIMS often socialize within their institutional bubbles. A show that brings the campus crowd together with the city’s local young population creates cross pollination that wouldn’t happen naturally.

Jodhpur's new campuses meet its old machinery
IIT Jodhpur and NLU brought a national crowd to the Blue City: engineers and law students from everywhere, orbiting a city whose own social systems run on Marwari family networks famous for their thoroughness. The two systems never touch, the campuses socialise internally and the city's own young professionals date through introductions their grandmothers pre-cleared.
One show bridges the fort city's two worlds, with Mehrangarh watching. The audience mix alone, IIT hoodies next to bandhani dupattas, will be worth the staging.

The show runs in English. Jodhpur is Marwari and Rajasthani at heart. The IIT Jodhpur and AIIMS crowd handles English easily in a city famous for the Blue City, its food, and its summer hospitality.

Is there speed dating in Jodhpur?

Where do Jodhpur singles actually meet?
IIT and NLU's campuses, the clock tower market circuit, Ratanada's cafes and family networks with Marwari precision. New institutions, old machinery, no bridge.
Will the show use the fort views?
A venue without Mehrangarh in eyeline would be professional malpractice in Jodhpur. The mixer backdrop is settled before the venue contract is.
