The Pakistani and Indian communities have deep roots here, and the University of Leeds brings in a constant stream of new arrivals. It’s a city where the desi scene is big enough to support a dedicated event but rarely gets one.
The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the room watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. In Leeds, where the desi community has depth but no dedicated singles programming, this format creates exactly the concentrated energy the city needs.
Yorkshire’s South Asian community has a distinct identity.
