Nicosia is the last divided capital in Europe, and beyond the Green Line's geopolitics, the city has a growing South Asian community driven by the universities and the offshore business sector. The University of Cyprus, the University of Nicosia, and European University Cyprus attract Indian students, particularly in medicine, business, and IT. The island's tax incentives have also drawn Indian professionals in finance, shipping, and tech consulting.
