Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest university in Greece and one of the largest in the Balkans, and its medical, engineering, and science faculties attract Indian students. Thessaloniki is Greece's second city, with a waterfront promenade, a food scene that some argue is better than Athens (bougatsa and souvlaki from the Ladadika district are the evidence), and a student population that keeps the nightlife genuinely alive year round.
