Windsor sits right on the US border and that changes the math for a dating show. The audience isn’t just Windsor. It’s Detroit, Dearborn, and the broader Southeast Michigan desi community too. University of Windsor has a massive international student population, heavily South Asian, and a lot of them have friends and connections on the American side.
The show that runs in New York: singles go on dates on stage, comedians host, and the full room mingles before and after. In Windsor, where the Ambassador Bridge connects two countries and two desi dating pools, the format doubles the room by pulling from both sides of the border for a single night.
Windsor’s South Asian community is concentrated around the university and the growing immigrant population drawn by manufacturing and healthcare jobs. The cross border dynamic is unique. People commute both ways for work, entertainment, and yes, dates. A show in Windsor naturally draws from both countries.
Dearborn has one of the largest Arab American populations in the US, and the broader Detroit metro has a growing Indian community. Put that together with Windsor’s desi population and you’ve got a cross border dating pool that’s bigger than either city alone.

Windsor lives the strangest dating geography in Canada: UWindsor and St. Clair College grow the local desi student base, the auto sector employs the professional layer and the biggest nearby pool of South Asian singles sits across an international border in metro Detroit. The apps handle this terribly, matching people across a crossing that requires documentation, and the two communities' events never coordinate.
A Windsor show makes the border a feature: one night where the 519 and the 313 share a room, and the only checkpoint is the ticket scanner.

Can people from Detroit attend the Windsor show?
Yes. The cross border location is a feature. We expect the room to draw from both Windsor and the greater Detroit metro area.
Can I apply to be a contestant?

Is there Indian speed dating in Windsor?
