Columbus has been quietly building one of the fastest growing South Asian communities in the Midwest. Dublin, Westerville, Powell, New Albany. The suburbs are full of Indian tech workers and their families, and Ohio State pulls in a huge South Asian student body every year. The community is here. The dating infrastructure is not.

The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while a packed room watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. No swiping, no algorithms, no sitting across from a stranger at a speed dating table wondering when the bell will ring. Columbus deserves something better, and this is it.

Columbus is a city that punches above its weight. Great food scene, affordable rent, real neighborhoods. But if you're South Asian and single here, the options are limited to apps, the occasional cultural event, or hoping you run into someone at Patel Brothers on Sawmill Road. This show creates a reason for every single desi person in the metro to be in one room on the same night.

We're building the Columbus waitlist. First access to tickets when we announce. If you want to be a contestant and go on a live date on stage, apply below.

Ohio State alumni, Dublin tech workers, healthcare professionals. We know you're out there. Stop waiting for the apps to work and come to the show.

Columbus is the Midwest's quietest desi boom

Dublin, Powell and the northwest suburbs have been absorbing South Asian tech and healthcare professionals at a pace that outran the community's own institutions, and the new chip and tech investments around the metro are accelerating it. OSU adds tens of thousands of students with a solid desi contingent. The dating reality lags all of it: the community events are family affairs, the apps are thin and the singles commute to Chicago events four hours away when they get desperate enough.

This is the profile we route for. Growing metro, no incumbent scene, one show away from having its own.

What a Garam Masala night in Columbus looks like

A Dublin cloud engineer and an OSU med student who have never met, on a first date on stage, while the 614's desi crowd reacts like it is a rivalry game. Comedian hosts, live votes and a mixer in the Short North where the second dates plan themselves.

to move Columbus up the calendar, or apply to be a contestant and give Sawmill Road something better than produce-aisle eye contact.
