Durham University is one of the most prestigious in the UK, and its South Asian student body reflects that. The business school, the engineering department, and the sciences attract Indian and British Asian students who chose Durham over Oxbridge alternatives. The collegiate system creates tight social circles, which is great for friendship but limiting when you want to date outside your college’s dining hall.
The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the room watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. In Durham, where the desi community has depth but no dedicated singles programming, this format creates exactly the concentrated energy the city needs.
