St. Louis has a concentrated South Asian community spread across Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, and Maryland Heights on the west side of the metro. WashU and SLU bring in South Asian students, and the healthcare and biotech corridors have drawn Indian professionals for years. The community is smaller than Chicago or the coasts, but the density in those west county suburbs is real.

The format from New York works everywhere: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the audience watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. In St. Louis, where the desi social scene can feel like the same hundred faces at every cultural event, this format brings new energy by giving single South Asians a specific night to converge.

If you're South Asian and single in St. Louis, you've probably noticed that the dating pool feels smaller than it should. The metro has over 2.8 million people, but the desi social scene can feel like the same hundred faces at every cultural event. This show changes the math by giving single South Asians a specific night to show up, in one room, with the same goal.

We're building the St. Louis waitlist now. WashU students, Chesterfield professionals, medical residents, everyone. for first access to tickets, or apply to be a contestant below.

St. Louis has a hundred-face problem, not a population problem

STL's South Asian community concentrates in Chesterfield, Creve Coeur and Maryland Heights, with WashU and the BJC medical machine importing students, residents and researchers every year. The singles all report the identical experience: the same hundred faces at every Diwali event, every cultural program, every birthday party. The conclusion everyone draws, that the pool is tiny, is wrong. The pool is fragmented: the med campus never meets the county suburbs, the WashU crowd never meets the professionals.

One show defragments the scene. The room will hold faces nobody has seen before, all of whom live fifteen minutes away and have been reaching the same wrong conclusion.

What a Garam Masala night in St. Louis looks like

A WashU postdoc and a Chesterfield consultant who have never met, on stage, going on a first date while the Central West End fills with every desi single the metro forgot it had. Comedian hosts, live votes and a mixer where 'wait, where have you been' is the most common opener.

to break the hundred-face cycle, or apply to be a contestant and give the Lou a fresh story.

No St. Louis dates are live yet. The show tours nationally and sells out every stop. Watch full episodes while we make our way to you!

Questions About St. Louis Shows

When is Garam Masala Dating coming to St. Louis?

No date confirmed yet. We are gauging interest through the waitlist. The Chesterfield and WashU communities make STL a candidate.

Where would the show be?

Venue TBD. We are evaluating spaces in the west county area where the South Asian community is concentrated. Waitlist members will be first to know.

Can I apply to be a contestant?

Yes. Apply now. Applications stay active for 12 months. St. Louis applicants will be prioritized when we confirm a date.

Is there Indian speed dating in St. Louis?

STL's desi calendar is temple events, cultural programs and the same hundred faces. No singles events, no live formats, nothing new since forever. That staleness is exactly what a live show detonates.

Where do South Asian singles in St. Louis actually meet?

WashU and SLU circles, the BJC medical systems, Chesterfield and Creve Coeur community events and each other's LinkedIn notifications. Everyone knows the pool feels small. It is not small. It is unmixed.

Would the show pull from Illinois side too?

Metro East counts, obviously. A Central West End or Clayton venue keeps everyone within twenty five minutes, which by STL standards is basically next door.

Also coming to: Kansas City , Chicago , Indianapolis , Champaign , Columbus
