We're Coming to Walsall!

Walsall is on the tour list. Sign up below and help us get there! Everyone on the list gets tickets first when we announce.

Walsall has one of the highest South Asian population percentages in the West Midlands. The Caldmore and Palfrey areas are the heart of it. Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi families have been here for generations, and the community infrastructure is deep: temples, mosques, gurdwaras, community centres, and a high street on Caldmore Road that’s entirely South Asian businesses. The culture isn’t a layer on top of Walsall. It is Walsall.

The format from New York: real contestants go on live dates on stage while the room watches and reacts. Afterward, the whole crowd mingles. In Walsall, where the desi community has depth but no dedicated singles programming, this format creates exactly the concentrated energy the city needs.

The problem with heavily South Asian areas like Caldmore is that everybody knows everybody. Your auntie knows his mum who knows your cousin’s wife. Privacy doesn’t exist. A dating show gives people permission to be openly looking in a way that the community grapevine doesn’t allow. The stage provides cover. You’re there for the show, and whatever happens at the mixer is your business.

Birmingham and Wolverhampton are right next door, extending the catchment significantly. But Walsall’s community doesn’t need Birmingham to fill a room. The density here is more than enough. The audience is ready. Someone just needs to build the event.

Caldmore's information network needs counterprogramming

Walsall's South Asian community, concentrated in Caldmore, Palfrey and Pleck, operates one of the West Midlands' most efficient social information networks: who is single, who is seeing someone and who was seen at Nando's with whom, all processed in near real time. The singles' rational response has been to conduct their entire romantic lives in Birmingham, anonymously.

The show offers a better deal: a hometown event where being seen is the format, the comedy provides the cover and the mixer provides the outcome. The network can report whatever it likes; you were at a show.

What a Garam Masala night in Walsall looks like

Two Walsall singles who have never met, improbable but verifiable, on stage, going on a first date while a Caldmore-raised crowd reacts with the honesty the Black Country is contractually obligated to provide. Comedian hosts, live votes and a mixer that generates a week of grapevine content with everyone's blessing.

No date confirmed yet. Walsall is on our UK expansion radar. to be notified first.

Will the show be in English?

Can I apply to be a contestant?

Is there Asian speed dating in Walsall?

Caldmore's social machinery is thorough and entirely matrimonial. A comedy dating show gives Walsall's singles the plausible deniability of a night out with the functionality of an introduction service, minus the paperwork.

Where do British Asian singles in Walsall actually meet?

Caldmore and Palfrey community life, Birmingham's scene twenty minutes down the M6 and family recommendations with terms and conditions. A local singles night has never existed. First mover advantage is real.

Why not just go to a Birmingham show?

Many will do both, but a Walsall night means the auntie network's home turf hosts the one event it cannot fully surveil. That alone sells tickets.
