Gothenburg is Sweden's second city and its industrial backbone. Volvo Cars, Volvo Group, Ericsson's major operations, and AstraZeneca's Nordic headquarters all employ Indian engineers and professionals. Chalmers University of Technology is one of Scandinavia's top technical universities and a magnet for Indian students in automotive engineering, IT, and the natural sciences. The Indian community here is proportionally larger than Stockholm's relative to city size.

In Gothenburg, this format is designed to concentrate the scattered desi community into one room for one night, creating connections that the apps and expat mixers never deliver.
